Against the Arithmeticians

Lorenzo Corti (Université de Lorraine) has just published a new translation of, and commentary on, the fourth book of Sextus's Adversus Mathematicos:

Polish Translation of Sextus

There is a new Polish translation of Sextus Empiricus's Pyrrhonian Outlines by Zbigniew Nerczuk (Nicolaus Copernicus University):

French Translation of Sextus

Stéphane Marchand has called my attention to a new French translation of Sextus Empiricus, in this case of the two books of Against the Logicians. I think it's the first translation of these books in French, or at least the first complete translation.

I haven't had the chance to take a look at the book and I don't know the translator, who as far as I know hasn't published anything on Sextus or ancient Pyrrhonism more generally. For more info, click here.

Sextus's Against the Grammarians

Stéphane Marchand has just called my attention to an annotated Portuguese translation, by Joseane Prezotto, of part of Sextus Empiricus's Against the Grammarians that has been published in the Brazilian journal Hypnos. It can be found here.

French Translation of Against the Ethicists

I've just found out about what I think is the first French translation of Sextus Empiricus's Against the Ethicists:

Sextus Empiricus, Contre les moralistes (Adv. Math. XI). Traduit, présenté et annoté par Olivier D'Jeranian. Manucius: 2015.

I cannot recommend this translation because I haven't seen it yet and I don't know the translator, but you can find more information here.

Hume's Dialogues in Italian

An Italian translation, with facing English text, of Hume's Dialogues has just been published: Dialoghi sulla religione naturale (BUR Rizzoli, 2013). Gianni Paganini is the author of the translation, the introduction, and the commentary. Complete information can be found here.

New Translation of Sextus's Against the Physicists

Last month, CUP published Richard Bett's translation of Sextus Empiricus's Against the Physicists. More information can be found here. I haven't taken a look at the translation yet, but I'll try to get a copy soon. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first English translation of the two books of Against the Physicists since Bury's (1936).

New Spanish Translation of Sextus

The Spanish press Gredos has just published Juan Francisco Martos Montiel's translation of Sextus's Against the Dogmatists (to be precise, the five remaining books of this work). Information about the book can be found here. This is great news for those interested in Sextus (as a source for Pyrrhonism or for other ancient philosophies) in Spanish-speaking countries, since as far as I know this is the first Spanish translation of Against the Dogmatists.

Latin Translation of Sextus

I've just downloaded the sixteenth-century Latin translation of Sextus Empiricus' extant corpus from Gallica. The text was published in 1569 and contains Estienne's translation of the Pyrrhonian Outlines (originally published in 1562) and Hervet's translation of Adversus Mathematicos and Adversus Dogmaticos.
