Conference on Wittgenstein and Skepticism

The Universidade Estadual de Campinas-UNICAMP will hold its X Colóquio Nacional/VII Colóquio Internacional Wittgenstein, “Wittgenstein-Knowledge and Scepticism,” on October 14-16, 2015. The organizers accept contributions in Portuguese, English, or French. To submit your paper, send an abstract of 200-500 words to coloquiowittgenstein@gmail.com and fill out the on-line enrollment form here. Make sure to include the following additional information: name of the author(s), title of the paper, institutional affiliation and status (masters or doctoral student, lecturer/researcher). Wittgenstein and Skepticism

The 6th Annual Conference of the British Wittgenstein Society (BWS), titled "Wittgenstein and Epistemology," will take place at the University of Edinburgh on June 5-6, 2014. Moore, Wittgenstein, and Skepticism

Annalisa Coliva (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia) recently published her Moore and Wittgenstein: Scepticism, Certainty and Common Sense (Palgrave Macmillan, 2010). For more information, go here. This is actually the revised and expanded version of a book originally published in Italian in 2003. About a month ago, a review of the book appeared in Notre Dame Philosophical Reviews.

Philosophical Therapy

The latest issue of Metaphilosophy features Eugen Fischer's "How to Practise Philosophy as Therapy: Philosophical Therary and Therapeutic Philosophy". The paper discusses Sextus Empiricus and Wittgenstein. To access it, go here.
